Oh no... it’s raining! What can I do at Lake Garda?
You are just arrived at the lake full of excitement and with plenty of plans for your vacation, but the bad weather is now suddenly threatening your so long-awaited holidays? Don’t panic, the equation ‘rain = vacation ruined’ does not apply here in Lake Garda! There are a lot of activities you can do, even on rainy days.

Culture, art and history at the Castle
In case of rain, you can visit the Scaligero Castle’s Museum of Torri del Benaco, located to less than 1 km from Residence Ca’ del Lago. Every hall exposes aspects of Torri’s artisanal culture and of the main heritage of the North zone of the lake.
There is also a section dedicated to olive growing that involves an actual recreation of an olive squeezer, with the original stone parts. Besides, the museum includes an area dedicated to fishing and an entire floor dedicated to rock carvings of the Garda Lake. However, the main attraction remains the citrus greenhouse, which dates to 1760, and it’s basically the only one that’s open around the lake.

Verona is a few kilometers away, and it offers a wide variety of opportunities for all tastes. For the ones who are traveling with kids, we suggest the Children Μuseum, an experiential museum where the first thing to do is take off your shoes to discover science in an informal and funny way.

An alternative for the lovers of good wine is to dedicate an afternoon to discover the secrets of wine production, visiting the local wineries, such as the ‘Cantina Tinazzi’ in Lazise, the ‘Cantina Monte’ in Caprino Veronese or the ‘Azienda Vinicola Farina’ in Valpolicella. Did you know that the province of Verona occupies the first place in Italy for D.O.C. grapes production? The growing of autochthonous vines is a centuries-old tradition in this area, and it gives birth to many top-quality wines.
Natural baths near the Lake
Why not be pampered by hot thermal water? It is even more enjoyable when it’s raining! Again, the Garda Lake offers many possibilities: the thermal parks of Aquardens and Villa dei Cedri won’t surely disappoint you.
